Royal Suite

Peaceful location, great food and drinks, plenty of space around pools and situated near to a small corner shop. Very clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. WiFi is good. Short walk to the shingle beach, we also found a great pub for the football about 20min walk away. This hotel is around an hour drive from the airport so need to factor in time / cost of reaching this chilled spot but if you’re after a quiet relaxing break (and a help yourself bar!) this is ideal.

Pros: Facilities, food selection of pools, staff are all very nice. Very good value, relaxed vibe - help yourself to drinks or a bite throughout the day. Came with two young kids, the animation kids club was excellent, well equipped and Bea was excellent with them. Their favourite part of the holiday 😆 Traditional hotel, terracotta tiles throughout. Strong showers, always something good to eat. Standard all inclusive stuff, what there is it's very well cooked, home from home. Would return, value, closeness to Oasis Zoo it's ideal with a hire car. Probably too remote if reliant on public transport. Loved seeing this part of the island

We had a wonderful vacation. I want to give extra positive feedback to bartenders. The short spanis waiter(older) was really nice and always so kind. Animation workers Andy, Maya, and Bea were so great! Expesially, Maya and Andy give so many position vibes. they were so nice, kind, and had good programs. So much position vibes!!They were always so happy and smiley, and because of them, our vacation were +++ I hope this feedback reaches them, too.hotel was nice and peaceful.

I am staying here currently. When I booked almost a year ago I wanted a quiet holiday but this would be too quiet even for my nan (and she's 86) Hotel immaculately clean and rooms are very spacious. Staff friendly and polite but entertainment almost non existent, not even any music played. Less than about 20 British people in the hotel and although this is not a problem I am really missing some of our humour and banter. Also missing the British courtesy!! I don't feel like I've laughed since we arrived 4 days ago!! We are leaving the hotel in the evenings because we are absolutely bored stiff but there is almost nothing to do in Costa Calma. It is dead with only a few bars available. The TV in our room doesn't even work so that is not an option. We are also buying our own food as the all inclusive offerings are average at best. Breakfast best meal of the day. We love the cats around the hotel and they always seem pleased to see us, we saw a hedgehog too which made us smile. The gardens are all nicely maintained and I really like the traditional Mediterranean features around the hotel but we are spending much more time away from the place than we intended to. Really beautiful island but if this holiday has taught me anything it is to research resorts much more carefully before booking in future. If we ever return we will be staying at the other side of the island where there is more to do.

We have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday at this lovely hotel. We were so impressed with how clean and tidy the hotel and grounds are kept. All of the staff are so hard working and extremely friendly. There were very few English guests, which did not bother us at all - it gave my daughter a chance to practice her Spanish! The pool area was very nice, and there was never an issue with obtaining sun loungers, there were always plenty available. The food was also very good and there was certainly plenty of choice, and something for everyone. My daughters especially loved having fresh watermelon and ice cream every day! I cannot fault this hotel at all. The resort of Costa Calma is very quiet. If you are looking for a lively resort with lots of bars and restaurants, then you would be better going to Corrajelo. We only wanted a quiet, relaxing holiday so this resort was perfect for us. Thank you to all of the staff at the hotel for making our holiday so wonderful. We are already considering booking again for next year!

The hotel itself is a proper 3 star place- that’s to reflect on facilities and the hotel grounds, but because of great staff and their awesome personalities, I have rated my stay 4 stars. Moreover, nice bits of green space here and there with flowers and palm trees, no issues with sun lounges, gym and jacuzzi indoor swimming pool and beach ball, tennis available . Most of the guests are elderly Spanish and German with families, sparingly mixed with French. Not many British people were there, what I found actually great! I could finally start learning Spanish and the hotel guests and the staff were very happy to support me on that. My husband speaks basic Spanish so we made plenty of friends during our stay. The hotel itself needs little bit updating, but that’s not a big thing to be honest, it’s not something that will make anybody’s stay awkward. The staff are amazing and very friendly to BRITISH people- as long as you respect them, they will make your stay best possible you can imagine in this hotel. Miguel (Milo) the gentleman who performs all the entertainment- what a lovely guy! He keeps going whole day, 6 days per week to keep guests happy! I have won plenty of sparkling wine bottles while playing their famous bingo 😉. Food is always fresh and it’s typical Fuertaventuran cuisine - with touch of European elements. So if you don’t like goat meat, salads and Spanish version of seafood, then that’s not place for you. There is abundance of wine (all 3 kinds available from tap) sparkling wine for breakfast if you wish- that’s an old Spanish regional tradition, beer unlimited from the tap and unlimited local spirits ( shocker). So if you don’t know Spanish culture at all and you expect everyone to serve you because you are British, then this place is not for you. It’s not a commercial stay at Royal Suite, which I really appreciated. I will definitely go back there. I have also forgotten to mention about beautiful UNESCO beaches nearby the hotel (10 min walk). Going to this part of the island your experience will be more nature related, so if you looking for enjoyment and flocks of people hanging around, then book in your stay in northern part of Fuertaventura.
